Elul Event - BCOD

What a finale to the year! Ohel Devorah had a lovely evening in honour of Rosh Chodesh Elul. The women enjoyed a variety of honey and apple snacks as well as apple cider.

Rivkah shared the Message of the Month, a Dvar Torah about taking advantage of the month of Elul. Gerlinde Turchin shared her story with us. She told us about her childhood in Germany and how they came to Australia when she was 6 years old. We heard about her parents’ lives. About how her father worked day and night to support the family. Her mother and her very creative knitting, crocheting and weaving.

Gerlinde brought photo albums along which were so interesting to look at. She was gifted a book from the RCWC for telling her story. Thank you to RCWC for all your support!
