Becoming an affiliate enables the unique program of the Rosh Chodesh Women’s Circle to be implemented in your Shule, organisation, group or business, where you will receive resources, guidance and support appropriate for your group’s unique needs. The RCWC program includes inspiring messages for the month that celebrate and strengthen the uniqueness of the Jewish woman, alongside exquisitely presented themed suppers and activities. The highlight of the evening is the personal story shared, which may be recorded as a lasting memento with our financial assistance. The RCWC connects women to our traditions and to each other in a nurturing, meaningful, empowering environment.

The Perth RCWC

The Perth Rosh Chodesh Women’s Circle was created for women of all backgrounds to come together and tap into the amazing energy and power of Rosh Chodesh. As an unaffiliated group in Perth we want to create a space where women can come together and recharge their spiritual batteries, meet new people and strengthen each other and the general Perth Jewish Community through their stories.

Our first event took place on Sunday November 7, 2021 on Rosh Chodesh Kislev and was attended by more than 25 women. The women thoroughly enjoyed the evening and couldn’t wait for the next one.

Beis Chabad Ohel Devorah

Beis Chabad Ohel Devorah is a community Shule founded over 30 years ago.

It has a warm, friendly atmosphere. Young and old are welcome and made to feel part of the services.

We’re open every day of the year for morning, afternoon and evening prayers. There is a shiur for men daily between mincha and Mariv. Women shiurim are held periodically.

We are very excited to be introducing the exciting RCWC program to our Shule with Rebbetzin Rivkah Groner as Program Leader and Batia Slater as RCWC representative.  We look forward to doing an RCWC Rosh Chodesh event for Elul.

Chabad of Contra Costa

Chabad of Contra Costa in Walnut Creek, California started more than 20 years ago.  Rabbi Dovber and Chaya Berkowitz have been at the helm since 2010.  “Motivated by a profound love for every Jew and spurred by a boundless optimism, Chabad of Contra Costa sets into motion a dazzling array of programs and services to educate, inspire, and uplift Jews from all walks of life with unconditional love and acceptance.” (https://www.jewishcontracosta.com/)

Their programs and offerings include adult and youth education, full-time pre-school, Hebrew School, daily and Shabbat services, Jewish holiday services, summer camp, special programs all year around and more.

Chabad of Contra Costa (CCC) held their first affiliated Rosh Chodesh Women’s Circle event on Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan 5780 (30 October 2019).  Rebbetzin Chaya Berkowitz explained the meaning, origin and mitzva of Rosh Chodesh and its significance to women.  After this launch, the women of CCC look forward to sharing their stories, connecting, nurturing and empowering one another through their RCWC events.

Newtown Shule

Newtown Shul seeks to provide a space for Jewish people come together for a variety of both social and religious events to celebrate Jewish life cycle events and our Jewish heritage.

Mostly, people frequent the Synagogue to meet friends and make new ones in a really relaxed an accepting environment, however, there are many who come to the Synagogue as a place to be reverent.

We host a weekly Friday night dinner in our social hall. The food is prepared and cooked by a roster of volunteers and enjoyed by people from all walks of life who come and join us.

On Rosh Hashanah of 2018 the women made a commitment to start having a monthly event for Rosh Chodesh when possible as part of the RCWC. We have had many different speakers and many different thoughtful and interactive activities with participation from women across the spectrum of the community. We look forward to continuing touching the lives of each other in a positive way.

Newtown Shule held a recent on-line event for which beautifully represented such a cross-section of people. Younger and older, with young children at home or alone by themselves, more or less involved in Jewish life or in the Jewish community as well as participating from across the world. It just showed how we all have what to learn from each other.  Even though we may feel so far apart we are in a way even more connected than we ever were before.

Linking the Generations

Linking the Generations project provides a beautiful setting for our seniors to share their unique personal narratives which are recorded as an inspiration for community and family.
