BCOD RCWC Iyar Event

The RCWC BCOD event for the month of Iyar was a great success! Over 30 women gathered for an evening of inspiration and togetherness. Our guest storyteller was Mrs. Norah Elkman. We were all spellbound by her stories of growing up in Egypt in the ‘40s. She discussed her beautiful childhood which came to an end when Nasser came to power and Jews were no longer welcome in Egypt. She then told us about her life growing up here in Australia as a teenager. I (Rivka Groner) have known Norah for close to 40 years and never knew this part of her life story, which was quite fascinating.
Norah brought along some beautiful photos of her childhood, both in Egypt and Australia. As a gift, the women were given inspiring keychains to remind them how special each and every one of them is!
